Ro sews.

I'd been whip-stitching panels of Mom's curtains together and Ro walked up and grabbed the needle and thread and proceeded to sew the curtains together, no joke. She didn't do a very good job, she just sort of made a large foldy lump out of them, but she occupied herself for a half an hour and only poked herself twice.

Last week I cut a piece of scrap cotton and threaded a large needle with strong button thread for her and she's been "sewing" it all morning. She told us she was making a dress for Toastie, but it looks more like a lumpy biscuit. She puts the needle in wherever she wants, and pulls it out wherever she wants, which of course results in something that looks more like brains than a dress.

Anyway, she's so good about it, and I'm by and far impressed with her. Who knows what's next?

.... you forgot to mention that she ended up calling it a "sewing patch".

wow. i bet she'll be a sewer for life - that is really early to show an interest, and totally great. she'll figure out a dress before you know it!
